There are several types, such as boron dioxide B2O2, boron trifluoride B2O3, boron trifluoride B4O3, and boron tetraoxide B4O5. B2O3 is the chemical formula B2O3. Although boron trifluoride has a melting point of 577°C and a boiling point of 1,500°C or higher, it shows considerable vapor pressure even at 1,000°C. It is used in high-strength heat-resistant ceramics, glazes and enamel, catalysts, metallurgy, etc. |
